An introduction from our Community Insight Team
Welcome to the July newsletter from the Community Insight Team at DCF. In celebration of the recently held World Ocean Day and the upcoming World Orca Day, Shark Awareness Day and International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystems, this month we’re championing all things ocean-related. We’ve done a spotlight below on community groups that get people out and about splashing in the sea, cleaning up their beaches and more. We’ve found a few extra ocean-related grants to suggest, as well as our usual grants for community groups, volunteer and job opportunities around Devon.
When we’re not splashing in the sea, we’re releasing new grant funds! DCF have two new funds: Tiverton Futures and Tackling Isolation and Loneliness in older years. See the Funding section below for further details or just click on the links provided.
We also have a few new Profiles of Associational Life (PALs) for you to read. If you work, live or have an interest in these areas they are essential reading: Honiton PAL; Paignton (Roundham with Hyde and Clifton with Maidenway) PAL; Bampton PAL.
