The largest independent grant funder for charities and community organisations in the county, created by our communities and for our communities.
We inspire giving from individual and family donors, businesses and other organisations who want their money to support real change for Devon’s communities.
We make grants to grassroots organisations across Devon that share our mission of strengthening communities and tackling inequalities.
We develop knowledge of the voluntary and community sector by capturing insight, learning and data that helps us to shape local philanthropy and advocate for wider action.

There are 47 accredited community foundations across the UK (including Devon Community Foundation), all of which belong to a national membership organisation, UK Community Foundations (UKCF).
Community foundations exist to bring together people and organisations wanting to make a positive difference where they live and work through place-based philanthropy.
This means we work with donors and funding partners who care about Devon and want their money to strengthen communities and tackle inequality in the county. And we use our knowledge of the community and voluntary sector in Devon to turn donations into grants that go to grassroots organisations creating change in the heart of their communities.
