DCF are delighted to have been working in close collaboration with one of its fund holders over the past few weeks to launch a brand-new funding-raising event for its cause.
The Chief Constable’s Foundation are just one of the funds that is administered through the community foundation and after several months of quiet they called for some support in giving its limping fundraising a well needed step-up!
The Chief Constable’s Foundation aims are to protect the vulnerable, reduce crime and safeguard neighbourhoods and communities. After having to cancel all its fundraising activities after the coronavirus outbreak they wanted an event to raise funds that would appeal both to supporters within the police force and the wider public too.
And between us, we think plans have sprinted across the finish line with flying colours!
It’s virtually simple to take part!
Would you like to get fitter after lockdown? Raise funds to support a great cause in Devon? Perhaps you fancy earning yourself a bit of commemorative ‘bling’?!

The Use the Force Charity Challenge is a virtual event that challenges competitors to conquer 30 miles on foot during October 2020.
Every successful applicant will receive a prestigious winners medal but more importantly, every entry into the challenge will provide a valued contribution to the Chief Constable’s Foundation.
To take part all you have to do to register your pledge to complete 30 miles in October is complete your details on our donate page together with your entry fee of £12.
During the month of October you will then have to walk, jog or run 30 miles, tracking your progress as you go.
At the end of the month you will be asked to submit evidence of your miles to receive a Use The Force Charity Challenge medal – a memento of both your fantastic personal achievement and amazing contribution to an important local charity.
