This newsletter is a very exciting one for us, with two big announcements.
Firstly, as you may have noticed, we have a new look.
Over the past few months we have been developing a new brand for Devon Community Foundation; one that better represents our refreshed vision. Our vision is of a Devon Community Foundation which is better known and feels more owned by Devon’s communities, inspiring increased giving from a more diverse range of people and organisations, and making more, and more impactful grants. We will support Devon’s voluntary and community sector to grow stronger, while ensuring that as an organisation we remain sustainable.
Devon Community Foundation’s role in the county is unique but can also be hard to pin down, so our brand agency worked closely with us to capture the essence of what we do: inspire giving, share wealth and empower communities, to create a Devon that works for everyone, today and tomorrow.
We’re delighted with the result and thrilled to be able to share our new brand with you today. Expect to see much more of it as we roll it out across all aspects of our communications. You may have already noticed some changes to our website and there will be more to come over the course of the year. It is a work in progress and there may be some glitches during the process so please bear with us as we continue to make improvements.
Alongside our brand launch, we have also opened our new small grants application process. We have been working hard to review our grantmaking systems and processes to ensure they are as accessible and effective as possible. We now have a single application process for grants up to £5,000. Funding that was previously available through our Community Grants can be accessed through the small grants process, along with most of our other, more targeted funds. We will continue to review and refine the process and welcome any feedback to make sure our grantmaking works for everyone.
If you would like us to share any information in our next newsletter please contact Alice Davis, our Communications and Marketing Manager, adavis@devoncf.com.
