Our journey with applicants doesn’t end once we have awarded them a grant – we always want to hear about the difference their funded activity has made, what they learned and what happens next. This in turn helps to inform our future grantmaking. Most recently we have been reflecting on our Thrive with Five Early Years grant scheme and have produced a report which is now available.
The scheme was devised in the wake of the pandemic and with the knowledge that young children and new parents had been particularly adversely affected. It has been wonderful hearing about the impact of light-touch, parent/carer-led support and how the organisations we funded have provided crucial safe spaces for families to connect with others.
We look forward to using our learnings to provide more Early Years funding in the future.
