This #DevonDay Devon Community Foundation is delighted announce the launch of a brand-new Fund that provides the perfect opportunity for people that love Devon to give something back to their local communities.
In this year, that sees us mark 25 years since our inception, we at Devon Community Foundation are all too aware of the obstacles and difficulties that some of our population face, not least as we find ourselves in what we hope, is the tail end of a global pandemic.
Fortunately, DCF is also in a position to see the seemingly endless generosity and kindness that more than matches that hardship – in community organisations, voluntary groups and small charities across our county, as well as from the amazing donors and supporters we meet, that help us to support them. Activity that we are delighted has been highlighted and championed more than ever over the last year because of the outbreak.
Devon Community Foundation is today launching the Give Love Devon Fund that has been named after our hashtag #GiveLoveDevon, created to shine a light on and celebrate every type of giving that surrounds not only us, but that we see happening all across Devon every day. It is this sentiment that will be further encapsulated by our new fund, that is open to anyone and everyone to be a part of.
Martha Wilkinson, CEO said “We are thrilled to be able to be provide the conduit through which people from all walks of life can give and see being spent on amazing causes right on their doorstep.”
Scott Walker, Philanthropy Director, said “We are excited because the Give Love Devon Fund provides an opportunity for donors to connect with us and the causes we support, in a brand-new way. The benefit of having a digital platform for our fundraising means that donors can contribute from as little as £2 or, by having a conversation with us give as much as £10,000.”
Donors to the Give Love Devon Fund are invited to sign up to the Give Love Devon newsletter that will share news of exactly how the money they have donated is being spent across our county.
