DCF is awarding grants between £2,000 and £10,000 to organisations in Devon that provide mental health support.
Grants will fund activity that directly supports individuals who are experiencing mental ill-health which is affecting their day to day lives. This could include but is not exclusive to:
- One on one counselling
- Group therapies
- Other activities that aid recovery such as craft, nature
Existing activity and new pilot approaches
Who can apply?
Organisations who are experienced in supporting individuals experiencing mental ill-health are welcome to apply for funding. This includes:
- Registered charities
- Social enterprises, including Community Interest Companies (CICs)

What can be funded?
We will fund activity that directly supports individuals who are experiencing mental ill-health which is affecting their day to day lives. This is likely to include forms of one to one or group counselling and/or therapy. We will also consider other activities that we know are beneficial in aiding recovery for example, arts and crafts activities, time spent in nature, support for family members etc.

What can't be funded?
- Applications from individuals
- Loss of income
- Large capital items, including vehicles
- Alcohol or medication
- Promotion of religious or political activity
- Large scale building works
- Grants awarded to individuals by the funded organisation
- Support delivered by a national charity where there is no local branch
- Sponsorship or fundraising activities
- Retrospective funding

PLEASE NOTE. During the coronavirus pandemic we relaxed our requirements for emergency funding to make the application and administrative processes as simple and quick as possible. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application week beginning Monday 19th July.
