Develop life skills

Ready Steady Read in Mid Devon helps to #developlifeskills

Ready Steady Read is a literacy project organised by the Rotary Club of Tiverton, for three local schools, helping children aged 5-6 to reach the required reading level for their age or above. They aim to increase confidence in all educational areas and reduce the number of pupils who leave school unable to read.

A grant of £6,750 was given from the Tiverton Educational Fund (created 150 years ago!) for one to one support, developing essential life skills and raising aspirations.

“We just wanted to say a huge thank you for giving our granddaughter this opportunity that will obviously set her up for the rest of her school career. What a wonderful idea!”
